Below is a sample letter that you may if you wish to write to Deputy District Judge Sandeep Kainth:
Dear Deputy District Judge Sandeep Kainth
I write with regards to the recent decision to return 29 ponies and donkeys to James Gray and his family. Also regarding the 82 horses that are to be sent to public auction.
From my understanding, Mr Gray and his family are still awaiting trial for neglect of over 100 equines at Spindles Farm in Amersham.
Why are these ponies and donkeys being returned or sold before the trial has taken place? Surely such a decision should only be taken once Mr Gray’s guilt or innocence has been proven. The charities currently caring for these animals are able to continue to care for them, and should Mr Gray be proven guilty, are able to rehome them.
Why put these ponies and donkeys at risk by returning them to someone who may or may not be guilty of neglecting them in the first place?
I urge you to reconsider this decision, and ensure the welfare of these animals is put above any emotional plea by the defendants.
